November 28, 2015 Jim Root

There's no question about the potency of Indiana's offense - but what was wrong with the Hoosiers' defense in Maui? Will it hold them back all year?

Competing Against the Poll - Week 2

November 24, 2015 Jim Root

In a much more adventurous week, everyone saw some major gains - though some were also offset by losses. I took an early lead, but this week's volatility sets the stage for a roller-coaster year.

Colonial Preview 2015-16

November 16, 2015 Matt Cox

After ending in a 4-way tie for first last year, the CAA will be even deeper in 2016.  The Pride of Hoftsra look to take sole ownership of the top spot, but will "duke" it out with James Madison, William & Mary, Delaware, Towson & the league champ incumbent, Northeastern.

Horizon Preview 2015-16

November 14, 2015 Matt Cox

Bryce Drew finds himself with one of the best teams the Horizon has seen in  5 years, and I'd wager that Mark Turgeon and the Maryland Terps would say the same thing.   This is the first year of the new conference tourney format, which no longer rewards the top 2 squads with the luxury of a double bye.

Big South Preview 2015-16

November 14, 2015 Ky McKeon

Coastal Carolina and High Point are the heavyweights of the Big South and are sure to trade blows all season long. Badou Diagne leads the Chanticleers and POY John Brown leads the Panthers as Winthrop, Gardner-Webb, and Longwood look longingly at the top.

Competing Against the Poll - Rules of the Game

November 13, 2015 Jim Root

In this awesome new game we made up, myself and the other TMW writers attempt to outsmart the college hoops pollsters. Feel free to suggest better names for this, we're going with a working title here.

MEAC Preview 2015-16

November 13, 2015 Jim Root

There's a lot of parity at the top of the MEAC, and I wouldn't be surprised to see something like two teams tying at 13-3 to win the league (a far cry from the 16-0 romp that NC Central went on last year).

Patriot League Preview 2015-16

November 13, 2015 Ky McKeon

A much improved Patriot is led by Lehigh, Bucknell, a rising Army squad, and Boston. POY Tim Kempton returns, as does Chris Hass for what should be one of the most competitive Patriot seasons we've seen in a while.

Ohio Valley Preview 2015-16

November 12, 2015 Jim Root

The traditional elites of the OVC are at it again, although Murray must replace Steve Prohm, Cam Payne, and several other strong performers. Belmont brings the most back from an NCAA tournament team, making them the clear favorite.

WAC Preview 2015-16

November 12, 2015 Jim Root

New Mexico State should dominate the league, but the rising programs at Grand Canyon and UVU give this league some major interest in the future.

Southland Preview 2015-16

November 12, 2015 Jim Root

SFA again looks like the best team in a disgustingly top-heavy conference. But don't sleep on Northwestern St., an incredibly fun team to watch featuring the nation's highest-scoring backcourt (and a possible NBA point guard).

Northeast Preview 2015-16

November 12, 2015 Jim Root

First of several abbreviated previews due to time constraints. Robert Morris didn't win the conference regular season title last year, but they went to the tournament and return the best player. Robert Morris, Mount St. Mary's, and both St. Francis schools appear to be the top teams, though I may be too low on Bryant.

America East Preview 2015-16

November 9, 2015 Jim Root

Will the AE have a four-peat champion? Albany has the backcourt to do it, but Stony Brook is just as talented (if not more). Vermont and New Hampshire are able challengers as well, but I'm betting on Stony Brook to settle a 2-year score with Albany.
